Which Dubai neighbourhoods have Metro or Tram access?
Dubai Marina, JBR and Downtown Dubai are the most transit-connected beachfront and city-centre areas, all served by Metro and/or Tram stops within walking distance.
Dubai Marina
The tram, Metro and Marina Walk connect restaurants, beaches and daily services — one of the most walkable waterfront areas in the city.
JBR
The beach, The Walk and family activities sit close together, with tram stops nearby and direct public beach access.
Downtown Dubai
Major attractions cluster around Dubai Mall, with Metro and taxis covering longer journeys elsewhere in the city.
What about beach access without a car?
Port de La Mer trades a tram stop for something the transit-first areas above don’t offer: private-beach access and a quieter residential feel. There’s no Metro or Tram on-site, but taxis and ride-hailing cover most trips easily — and it’s where every White Camel Homes property is based.
What to verify before booking
Check the exact building — not just the neighbourhood. A few extra blocks can materially change walking comfort in Dubai’s heat, especially in Marina and Downtown where developments are large.
